I caught the tail-end of the free 2020 Functional Oral & Airway Health Summit (affiliate link) this weekend, and wished I’d known about it in time to hear the whole thing. Even though I’ve been researching the importance of airway health for a long time now and heard some of these speakers before, these talks in particular were helpful to me:

  • Steven Park, MD: UARS – The Undiagnosed Breathing Disorder
  • Shirley Gutkowski, RDH, BSDH: The Shrinking Face and Airway
  • Dr. Steven Lin: The Dental Diet – An Historical Perspective of Eating for Health
  • Howard Hindin, DDS: Whole Body Perspectives: Acupuncture, TMD, Sleep, Nutrition, and the Nervous System
  • Patrick McKeown, BA, MA: Do You Have an Undiagnosed Breathing Disorder that Could Kill You?
  • Bill Hang, DDS, MSD: Straighten Your Face Before You Straighten Your Teeth

Here’s the introductory video for the event:

They’re holding a free encore presentation (affiliate link) this coming weekend, starting Friday 27th November 2020, so I’m hoping to also catch:

  • Michael Gelb, DDS, MS: Do You Have an Undiagnosed Breathing Disorder That Is Killing You?

  • Dr. Felix Liao, DDS, MAGD, ABGD, MIABM: What is a holistic mouth, and how does that differ from Impaired Mouth Syndrome?

  • Bill Hang, DDS, MSD: Why Orthodontists Should Be Treating People and not Teeth

  • Stasha Gominak, MD: A Neurologist Examines the Connection between Vitamin D and Sleep

  • Angie Lehman, RDH, COM: Why understanding orofacial myology is important for your child’s growth and health

If you missed all or part of the summit (like I did), you can register for the free encore by clicking this affiliate link.
