I’ve been coughing up chunks of yellow phlegm from my lungs for the last couple of days, and I feel even more dreadful than normal. I think I have the ‘flu; for real, not just flu-like symptoms. I’ve basically been in bed since Tuesday evening. Skipped class Wednesday. Supposed to go out tonight, but that’s not going to be happening. Urgh. I feel dreadful… crawling off to the couch now…

haha wow! That’s great if you think that a real flu feel worse than your CFS symptoms!!! It’s definatly the other way around with me … I would love to just have regular flu symptoms for a week or two!!! How insane, fantasizing about how great it would be to have the flu hehehehe ….

Have you had the flu shot??

eeeek, you better hope it really is the flu and not just phase two!
Hope you feel better (or at least back to your ‘normal’ level of crap) soon!!

I think what I have at the moment really is the ‘flu, or some sort of viral or bacterial infection. Normally I have a fairly dry cough, and my sputum is clear. At the moment, what I’m coughing up is yellowish chunks, which is what used to happen when I had the occasional flu before my fatigue hit. So although I feel lousy at the moment, I’m looking forward to feeling less lousy in a week or so. It’s kinda reminded me that my normal CFS symptoms, debilitating though they are, aren’t quite so bad in comparison after all!
